Glenns Ferry track coach charged with sexual exploitation of a child

GLENNS FERRY – The track coach at Glenns Ferry High School has been suspended and charged with sexual exploitation of a child.

The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office said its school resource officer and detectives found evidence of the possession of sexually exploitative materials at around 2:30 Tuesday during a routine K-9 sweep at the Glenns Ferry School.

Charles H. Ramsay was booked into the Elmore County Detention Facility on one felony count of sexual exploitation of a child. He was arraigned at the Elmore County Courthouse and has been released on bond.

The sheriff’s office said Ramsay has lived in the Treasure Valley area for many years, and is asking anyone with pertinent information about him to call 208-587-2100.

Authorities ask people not to contact the Glenns Ferry Schools, school district or staff.

The investigation is ongoing.
